It will be a farewell tour stop when the Three Rivers Ringers perform a handbell concert at 6 p.m. Sunday at Trinity Lutheran Church, 120 Sunset Drive.

Founding Artistic Director Nancy Lutz, a Butler native, plans to retire at the end of the spring 2019 concert series.

Lutz graduated from Butler Senior High School in 1959. She was a member of the vocal choir at Hill United Presbyterian Church.

Both her parents, Robert and Alberta Brookhart, worked for the Butler Eagle. Her mother was also manager of Butler Stationery.

Lutz founded the Three Rivers Ringers in 2010 to advance the art of handbell ringing.

The 17-member group has performed at Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra holiday pops concerts, at a biannual General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church USA, and in the movie, “Love The Coopers.”

The concert, “Out of This World,” will feature music from classical to classic rock.

Sunday’s concert is free, but donations to support the Three Rivers Ringers will be accepted. There will be a reception after the concert.
