Seniors perform final dances

SLIPPERY ROCK — After four years of seemingly endless rehearsals and performances, 14 seniors from Slippery Rock University’s department of dance will take the stage one final time as a group for their senior BFA dance concert, “Full Circle,” at 4 p.m. Saturday at Swope Music Hall.

Students in the program are required to complete two capstone courses: the first of which took place last fall and was centered on research and creating choreography and performances based on that research; and the dance concert that represents a culmination of the artistic and academic work.

School will host visitation evening

HIS Kids Christian School, 650 Saxonburg Road, will host a visitation evening for families considering a Christian education for their children from 6:30 to 8 p.m. April 30.

Visitors will be able to take a tour, ask questions, and talk with financial advisers about tuition and scholarship options.

HIS Kids Christian School has classes from preschool to grade six. Busing is provided from six local school districts. This event is open to parents and children.
