MARS — “Your Role in Horse Health” is a presentation by Erin Moore, veterinary medical field officer at the Penn State Department of Agriculture, from 7 to 8 p.m. April 25 at Mars Public Library, 107 Grand Ave.

Moore will speak about the importance of vaccines, how to handle barn quarantines and other topics pertinent to equine health. This is a free program. Sign up at the library or call 724-625-9048 to register.

PROSPECT — The Prospect Community Library, 357 Main St., will have its annual used book sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 26 and from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 27 at the library.

Thousands of gently used books, and DVDs will be sold at bargain prices. Proceeds benefit Prospect Community Library.

GIBSONIA — The United Methodist Church, 5760 William Flynn Highway hosts a junque sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 27.

There will be a flea market and a grab & go breakfast. Proceeds benefit church mission projects.
