[naviga:h3]Butler Library sets open house[/naviga:h3]

The Butler Public Library, 218 N. McKean St., will have an open house from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday to kick off a year’s worth of celebrations for the library’s 125th year.

There will be birthday cupcakes and other treats, a prize giveaway, and a chance to look through historic materials from the library’s history.

[naviga:h3]SV High hosts STEM Fair[/naviga:h3]

JACKSON TWP — Seneca Valley Senior High School’s seventh annual Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Fair will be from 1:15 to 2:41 p.m. and again from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the senior high school gymnasium.

There will be 167 student participants with 92 projects on display. More than 55 community experts volunteered to discuss projects, methods, results and conclusions with students.

The event is open to the public during the evening hours.
