Police reported the following:

12:40 p.m. Jan 5 — Police responded to smoke coming from a car, but no injuries were reported.7:08 a.m. Jan. 4 — Monika A. Goss, of Evans City lost control of the car she was driving after it hit a patch of ice while heading north on Route 528. The car eventually struck a ditch on the right shoulder of Prospect Road. No injuries were reported.12:17 a.m. Jan. 1 — Driving south on a wet Grove City Road, Hebist B. Asfaw, 22, of Slippery Rock swerved around a tree branch, but lost control of her car and struck a tree. The car was damaged, but Asfaw was not injured.12:59 a.m. Dec. 30 — Vincent D. Elliott, 47, of North Washington veered off Route 422 while driving in Franklin Township. The car, which also had a passenger, hit a tree and the two were injured. Neither of them wore their seat belts at the time, police said.12 a.m. Dec. 29 — Keith E. Beatty, 25, of West Sunbury drove through a stop sign while heading north on Smith Road at the intersection of Crolls Mill Road. He drove into a fence on Crolls Mill Road. The car continued into a field and began to roll for what police estimate was 30 yards. Beatty got out of the car and left, police said. Police do not know if he was injured.7:41 p.m. Dec. 28 — While driving east on Route 422, Ronald A. Churley, 42 of Erie hit a deer. No injuries were reported.5:16 p.m. Dec. 27 — Police said Arthur Ngbanda, 38, of Bethesdawere was driving in the dark with no headlights while traveling east in the fast lane of Route 422. When James W. Plunkard, 46, of Fenelton drove onto Route 422, he didn't see the car being driven by Ngbanda and drove into it. Ngbanda's car ended up in the opposing lane, where Cierrah K. Akins, 22, of Ford City was driving west. Her car's mirror swiped the side of the Ngbanda's car. No injuries were reported.12:36 a.m. Dec. 27 — Hunter C. Reedy, 20, of Adrian fell asleep while driving south on Kittanning Pike in Fairview Township. The car drifted off the road, hit an embankment and flipped. Reedy told responders that he was not injured and refused medical attention.10:03 p.m. Dec. 25 — Brigette L. Wilhelm, 21, of Sewickley hit a deer while driving on I-79. No injuries were reported.9:45 a.m. Dec. 21 — Someone stole a garbage can on North Road in Franklin Township and a check valued at $25.11:24 p.m. Nov. 25 — Savhannah M. Corbett, 33, of Evans City hit a deer while north on I-79. No injuries were reported.6:01 p.m. Nov. 25 — Police said Megan R. Myers, 26, of Volant struck a vehicle that was stopped for a left turn as she was pulling out of a parking spot in front of Cal's convenience store. No one was injured.
