Girl, 12, has book published
EPHRATA, Lancaster County — The granddaughter of a Butler couple has published a book at age 12.
John and Rose Rodgers of Butler announced that Paige Reddig of Ephrata worked with a publisher, editor, illustrator and cover design team to create the 165-page “Three Sisters of Doom.”
Paige won a “flash fiction” competition at her school, Ephrata Intermediate, in which the student turning in the most creative one-page story pitch would have the opportunity to finish the book and have it published.
She was also named the Distinguished Middle School Student of the Year by the Pennsylvania Association for Gifted Education. She will be honored Nov. 30 at the 66th annual PAGE state conference in Cranberry Township.
Paige enjoys reading, martial arts, tennis, photography, crafting, sewing and quilting.
Her parents are April and Michael Reddig of Ephrata.
“The Three Sisters of Doom,” which is geared toward youths aged 8 to 15, is available online.
