The deadline to order whole hog sausage from Christ Community United Methodist Church, 205 N. Duffy Road, is Nov. 12.

Seasoned, unseasoned and hot sausage will be made in the church Nov. 17 for pick up between 2 and 5 p.m.

To order, call the church office at 724-287-4462 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Each year during American Education Week, senior class officers begin the process of selecting a graduate from Butler High to receive the Distinguished Graduate Award.

It could be a past graduate who has achieved something outstanding in his or her chosen profession, or has made contributions to the community, state, or nation.

Nomination forms are available from the district website, the senior high website, or at any school office.

The deadline for nominations is April 1. The recipient is announced each year at commencement.

Operation Spay Neuter will present its Third Annual Paw Print Basket Bingo Nov. 10 at Highfield Hall, 229 Highfield Road.

Doors open at 11:30 a.m., there is a noon lunch and bingo begins at 1 p.m.

There will be special games and auctions. No one under 16 will be allowed in the hall.
