Seneca Valley first in academic awards for decathlon competition

Seneca Valley's Academic Decathlon Team placed first among 18 schools Oct. 13 in the Academic Decathlon Competition at Clarion-Limestone High School. The Seneca Valley Academic Decathlon Team placed first among 18 schools, and brought home a total of 25 medals in the Academic Decathlon Competition at Clarion-Limestone High School on Oct 13.

The SV Academic Decathlon Team includes Julia Allman, Katie Parker, Gabe Sutherland, Logan Glatz, Nick Folino, Mark Hemmerlin, Megan Spark, Abigail Roeckmann, Steven Yang, Kate Lipscomb, Ryan Lipscomb, Nishant Jayachandran, Megan Neely, Christina Yang, Jessie Glatz, Katie Bablak, Ashley Conroy and Mia Chevallier.

The students competed in six events: art, music, literature, interview, speech and essay.
