Schnur 50th anniversary
Dess and Bernadette Schnur of Butler celebrated 50 years of marriage with an Oct. 14 family dinner at Anna Marie's Winery in East Butler and a trip this summer with family to Deep Creek, Md.
Schnur married the former Bernadette Fallecker on Oct. 12, 1968, at St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman.
They have three children, Des (Angie) Schnur of Butler, Curtis (Lyric) Schnur of Renfrew and Tanya (Wes) Wilkinson of Chicora.
They also have six grandchildren.
Schnur was an elementary teacher at the Oakland Township Elementary School, a former Pullman Park Stadium director, an Army veteran retiring as a lieutenant colonel, and co-owner of the Schnur Awning Co.He enjoys hunting, baseball and coaching Legion baseball and high school varsity softball.Mrs. Schnur was co-owner, treasurer and bookkeeper at the Schnur Awning Co.She enjoys golfing, traveling, her book club and card club, flowers and time spent with her grandchildren.The Schnurs are members of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church.
