Richard and Grace Grimm

Richard and Grace Grimm of Jefferson Township marked their 50th wedding anniversary Sept. 1 with a celebration given by their children at the family farm.

Richard Grimm and the former Grace Smith were married Oct. 18, 1968, at the United Methodist Church in Sarver.

They are the parents of Michelle Thienel of New Jersey and Michael Grimm of West Virginia. They also have three grandchildren.

Grimm, a full-time farmer, was employed by Freeport Brick, retiring in 1978.Mrs. Grimm was employed by Freeport School District as secretary of Buffalo Elementary School and later employed at Watsons Meats.They are both involved in local farmers' markets.
