Butler city firefighter Tim Iman shows the gear he uses to fight a fire to Leah Hilfiger during a visit to Butler Catholic School Friday. The visit was to promote fire safety during National Fire Prevention Week, which ran Oct. 7-13. The event promoted this year’s campaign, “Look. Listen. Learn. Be aware. Fire can happen anywhere,” which educates students in preschool, kindergarten and first grade about basic ways to escape a home fire. After the firefighters concluded their safety talk, students were allowed to explore a fire truck.
