FRANKLIN TWP — A motorcyclist was taken to the hospital after a pickup truck hit his bike at a stop sign near Route 422 about 3:30 p.m. Monday.

State troopers said the rider was stopped at the stop sign next to the 84 Lumber at the intersection of Dick Road and Route 422 when a black GMC Sierra turned into the motorcycle, a white Harley-Davidson Ultra Classic.

Troopers said they believed the rider sustained minor injuries when he fell off the bike, but he was transported by Butler EMS to Butler Memorial Hospital.

Prospect Borough Volunteer Fire Department assisted with cleaning up the scene and directed traffic from Dick Road for about 45 minutes.
