Two students escaped from Summit Academy in Summit Township about 7 p.m. Sunday evening, according to police.

The students, both described as black males, are 16 and 17 years old, according to a police report.

The students got into a gold late-model Acura SUV driven by a young white female, according to police. The vehicle headed west on Herman road toward Butler.

A text alert was sent out by the academy shortly after the students escaped.

There is no word from state police or Summit Academy on the students’ whereabouts.
