Passenger injured in 2-vehicle crash in Summit Township
A Dodge Nitro and Kia Sorento collided around 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Protzman and Herman roads. Neither driver was hurt, but a passenger in the Kia was treated for a shoulder injury described as minor.
SUMMIT TWP — A Dodge Nitro and a Kia Sorento collided at about 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Protzman and Herman roads.
State police said the man driving the Dodge failed to stop the vehicle at a stop sign at the bottom of the hill leading to the intersection.
Neither driver was hurt, but a passenger in the Kia suffered a shoulder injury described as minor and was treated at the scene by EMS, according to police.
Airbags in both vehicles were deployed. Both vehicles were towed.
Herman Volunteer Fire Department firefighters directed traffic at the intersection, which restricted flow for about one hour.
