Karns City raced out to a 27-0 lead in the first half and cruised to a 42-22 football victory Friday night at Punxsutawney.

The win was the first for new Gremlins head coach Joe Sherwin.

After the host Chucks scored, the Gremlins scored again to grab a 42-8 lead, then emptied the bench.

Defensively, outside linebacker Trey Albert stood out for KC.

“He was all over the field for us,” Sherwin said. “Overall, we wanted to fix some of the things that hurt us last week and I think we did that.”
