CLEARFIELD TWP — State police have released the names of five people injured in a three-vehicle weekend crash on Route 422.

A medical helicopter flew one of the drivers, Earl E. Kelly, 66, of Butler, to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, with moderate to serious injuries, following the wreck about 4:25 p.m. Saturday, according to a police report.

Another driver, Dallion C. Lewis, 31, of Clarksburg, W.Va., also suffered moderate to serious injuries. He was taken by Butler Ambulance Service to AGH.

Nicholas J. Neff, 31, the third driver, and his two passengers, Denise L. Neff, 32, and a 13-year-old girl, all of Chicora, were taken by ambulance to Butler Memorial Hospital with apparent minor injuries.

The conditions of the injured were not available Tuesday. Police said all of the occupants except Kelly were wearing seat belts.

The crash happened, police said, when Lewis' eastbound Ford F-150 pickup truck struck the back of Kelly's GMC Sierra pickup, which was stopped for oncoming traffic in the left lane while waiting to turn left onto Game Reserve Road in Clearfield Township.

The collision, the accident report said, pushed Kelly's truck into the opposing lane, hitting Nicholas Neff's westbound 2018 Dodge Charger in a head-on manner.

All three vehicles had to be towed.

Police cited Lewis for driving a vehicle without insurance and careless driving.
