CRANBERRY TWP — Seneca Valley School District hosted its All-Staff Welcome Back (Opening Day) Event from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Monday at Victory Family Church.

Educators and staff members in the district attended the event to learn about changes in the district and discuss ways to start the school year strong, said Linda Andreassi, Seneca Valley communications director.

Will Richardson attended as the keynote speaker for the event. Richardson is an internationally known speaker on modern education learning, and he was there to “challenge Seneca Valley employees to continue to reform the way in which we approach education.”

School district officials said they were also excited to use the day to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood. The focus of the day was on “highlighting some of (Rogers') lessons that are still very relevant today.”
