Jones 50th anniversary
Vaughn B. and Nancy S. Jones of Renfrew celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house for family and friends Aug. 19 at Moraine State Park. A Mediterranean cruise is planned for fall.
Jones married the former Nancy Van Patten on Aug. 16, 1968, at Covenant United Presbyterian Church in Sharon.
They are the parents of Vaughn Bronson Jones III of Athens, Ga.; Michael Jones of Barberton, Ohio; Elizabeth Morris of Grove City; and Kathryn Steiner of Pittsburgh.
They also have 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.Jones was a physics and math teacher at Hampton High School for 30 years and at Portersville Christian School for 12 years before retiring. He is involved in leadership and teaching and is a Gideon member in Butler.Mrs. Jones, a registered nurse, works as a school nurse. She has served as a children's program teacher and Bible study fellowship leader and is a member of Gideon Auxiliary in Butler.Both are members of First Baptist Church in Evans City.
