State Rep. Brian Ellis, R-11th, will host a community night from 5 to 9 p.m. Aug. 23 at the Butler Farm Show grounds.

The event will include a fishing derby, pony rides, hot dog eating contest, Life Fight, fire trucks and a bounce castle. Food will be sold and door prizes awarded.

Participants are asked to take a paper product or nonperishable food item to donate to the food bank.
