Artist, illustrator and arts educator Stacy Innerst will be at the Zelienople Area Public Library at 7 p.m. Thursday as part of the Zelienople Library Presents Speaker Series.

His picture books for children have earned a host of reviews and awards, including a 2017 NY Times/NY Public Library Best Illustrated Children’s Book Award, the 2017 SCBWI Golden Kite Award for Picture Book Illustration, two Parents’ Choice Gold Medals and recognition by the Smithsonian and the American Library Association.

“M is for Music” was named a 2003 Best Book of the Year by the School Library Journal.

Innerst will interact with the audience as he demonstrates his book making process. Copies of several of his titles will be available to purchase that evening including “Ruth Bader Ginsburg,” “The Music In George’s Head,” “M is for Music” and “The Beatles Were Fab.”

A book signing will conclude the evening. Tickets are $8 for adults, $5 for children under 12, and may be purchased at the library or on eventbrite.com.

Five free tickets are available to interested high school students.

Zelienople Library Presents Speakers Series is a fundraiser for the Library.
