SLIPPERY ROCK — The Slippery Rock High School will hold a Veteran’s Recognition Night on Sept. 21 during the pre-game warmup of the Slippery Rock versus Grove City football game.

Veterans who live in both Slippery Rock and Grove City communities are invited.

Those interested should send name, rank, branch, years of service, war(s) served and any special information to Mr. Daniel Follett, Slippery Rock High School, 201 Kiester Road, Slippery Rock, PA 16057, or call 724-794-2960 ext. 2100 or 2127 by Sept. 14.

[naviga:h3]Salvation Army hosts benefit ride[/naviga:h3]

Butler Salvation Army will host its Ride for Memories benefit ride Saturday.

Sign-ins for the event will be at 9 a.m. at the Salvation Army. Participants are asked to enter the parking lot from Cunningham Street. Riders hit the road at 10:30 a.m. followed by a dinner at 4 p.m.
