Dollar Tree to help military students
Dollar Tree will collect school supplies until Thursday for Operation Homefront, which provides backpacks and school supplies to military children.
The project has provided the supplies for a decade to military children throughout the United States.
Collection bins are available in all Dollar Tree stores, where customers can place the school supplies.
Dollar Tree has five locations in Butler County: Clearview Mall, Butler Crossings, Slippery Rock, Northgate Plaza north of Zelienople, and the Cranberry Mall.
The supplies will be distributed to military children at more than 60 Back-to-School Brigade expos and at numerous additional local community partner events across the nation.
The Back-to-School Brigade has distributed more than 300,000 backpacks containing school supplies since 2008.
More information on how to support the project is available at www.operationhomefront.org.
