[naviga:h3]Collage artist comes to library[/naviga:h3]

SAXONBURG — Michael Albert, an American artist-author known for making collages out of cereal boxes and other printed cardboard for 22 years, brings his ”Modern Pop Art Experience” to the South Butler Community Library, 240 W. Main St., at 6:30 tonight.

The two-hour program is part of the library’s Summer Reading calendar of special learning events.

Participants will have the opportunity to meet the artist, and then he will lead an artmaking workshop using the same materials he uses to create his masterpieces. All participants will receive a gift from the artist. 

[naviga:h3]KidsFest slated for Rotary Park[/naviga:h3]

Orchard Hill Church’s Butler campus is staging KidsFest from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday in Rotary Park.

Open to children in first through sixth grade, the event will feature a light breakfast, art, games and Bible stories.
