Young 60th anniversary
John and Rita Young of Butler celebrated 60 years of marriage with a party at their daughter's house.
Young married the former Rita Mae Cypher on Aug. 23, 1958, at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Cabot.
They have five children, Gerald Young of Chicora, Michael Young of Wrightstown, Wis., Lesa Jackson of Butler, John Young of Huber Heights, Ohio, and Christine Karpinski of Greenville.
They also have five grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren.Young retired as a supervisor from Penreco after 44 years.He is a member of the Butler Moose, the American Legion, the R.C. Men's Club and the Wine Club.Mrs. Young is a homemaker who enjoys gardening and painting.The Youngs are members of St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church in Butler.
