MARS — The Mars Public Library, 107 Grand Ave., has the following events slated for June:

Summer Reading Kick-Off, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 11. Pittsburgh Puppet Works Puppet Show at 1 p.m. This will be the first day for sign-ups for the summer reading program.

How Will You Save for Higher Education? 6 p.m. June 13. Sign up at the library, call 724-625-9048 or email: marsdirector@bcfls.org.

Monarch Butterfly Program, 6 p.m. June 14. The Butler Butterfly Lady, Kimberly Vensel, will share her photos and stories about raising Monarch butterflies. Sign up at the library; call 724-625-9048 or email: marsdirector@bcfls.org.

Armchair Travelers, noon June 19.This adult program is a video tour of Portugal, Spain and Morocco from the comfort of the library. Registration required. Sign up at the library; call 724-625-9048 or email: marsdirector@bcfls.org.

Skate for a Cause, 2 to 4 p.m. June 16 at the Lemieux Sports Center in Cranberry Township. Skate to raise funds for future improvements. Half the proceeds will support the library.
