Emclaire Financial to buy bank in Jefferson
EMLENTON, Venango County — Emclaire Financial Corp., the parent company of the Farmer's National Bank on Main Street, will acquire Community First Bancorp of Reynoldsville, Jefferson County.
A press release on Wednesday from Emclaire said the $17 million purchase will occur at the end of the year.
Emclaire now operates full-service Farmer's National Bank locations in nine counties in Pennsylvania, including Butler County, and one in West Virginia.
Community First Bank now has four locations in Reynoldsville, Sykesville and Punxsutawney, all in Jefferson County, and Clarion in Clarion County, plus a loan production office in DuBois, Clearfield County.
Audrey Lynn Rattay, Emclaire assistant vice president and director of marketing, could not comment on the status of the Community First employees until the acquisition closes.
