CRANBERRY TWP — Former North Allegheny coach Dave DeGregorio has been hired as head varsity boys basketball coach at Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic.

DeGregorio served as assistant coach at Hampton the past two seasons. He was head coach at NA for 12 years before that, compiling a 232-76 record with five section titles and 11 WPIAL playoff appearances.

DeGregorio succeeds Dave Long, who was not retained by CWNC after last season.
