Bank ups minimum pay rate
Farmers National Bank of Emlenton announced Monday that it had recently increased its internal minimum hourly wage to $11.25 per hour.
The change, which brings the company’s hourly wage to about 55 percent higher than the federal minimum rate of $7.25, was effective April 1.
In addition to that increase, all hourly employees received a 7 percent increase to their current hourly wage rate.
Bank CEO and board Chairman William Marsh said the increases come as the bank works to maintain its growth and profitability.
“Our goal is to remain an employer of choice,” Marsh said in a news release. “Our bank has achieved profitable growth and great success over the past few years which would not be possible without the hard work and dedication of our employees.”
Farmers National Bank of Emlenton is an independent, nationally chartered, FDIC-insured community commercial bank. Its headquarters is in Emlenton and has 17 offices in Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
