Marilyn and Gary Nicklas

Gary L. and Marilyn Nicklas of Evans City will celebrate 50 years of marriage with an open house from 6 to 8 p.m. April 7 at Evans City VFW Post 499.

Nicklas married the former Marilyn Heckard March 15, 1968, in Evans City.

They have three children, Tina (Michael) Warso of New Castle, G. Frank (Christina) Nicklas of Georgia and Cody (Olivia) Nicklas of Butler.

They also have six grandchildren.Nicklas retired from Evans City borough. He served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam in 1968 and 1969.Mrs. Nicklas retired from McDonald's in 2017 after 16 years.
