CLERMONT, Fla.— Seven Fields resident Alayna Derzak, a Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic graduate and a member of the Penn State Behrend softball team, had three hits in a win over Monmouth recently.

Derzak collected a triple, double, single and RBI in the Lions’ 7-2 victory. PSU Behrend is 4-2 on the season.

[naviga:h3]Grove City’s Hall in indoor nationals[/naviga:h3]

NEW WILMINGTON — Grove City High School graduate Hailey Hall, a senior pole vaulter at Westminster College, has qualified for the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships.

Hall ranks sixth in the nation with a mark of 12 feet, 6.25 inches.

The nationals will be held in Birmingham, Ala., Friday and Saturday. The women’s pole vault is at 11 a.m. Friday.
