Dawn Weckerly Spielvogel
It is with broken heart that I announce the passing of my wife and best friend, Dawn Weckerly Spielvogel. Dawn passed quietly in our home Thursday morning, after suffering a sudden, brief illness.
She is survived by her husband, Sean Spielvogel; and her mother, Peggy Weckerly; her in-laws, Jerry and Rosemary Spielvogel.
Dawn was preceded in death by her daughter, Victoria; and her father, Thomas Weckerly.
Dawn loved life and enjoyed many things. The time we spent together we shared many happy memories, which will live on in our hearts.
Dawn was a very loving and giving person who saw the best in everyone. She believed that if someone needed something, you give it to them. Even while dealing with her MS, she would always think of others who were worse off than she. She would often tell others not to pity her because there are people who are worse off than her.
Never one who cared for formality, Dawn enjoyed the simple things life offered. The sight of a rainbow, the look of snow frosting a pine tree, or a warm fire at home. She loved flowers, painting and watching the deer and squirrels play in the yard.
Dawn also enjoyed going out for drives in the country, especially in the fall, to see the colors of the leaves.
Dawn loved to laugh and would make up stories about elves and trolls to make her friends and family laugh. We also enjoyed many rounds of scrabble and cards. She also enjoyed our travels to various states and meeting new people.
Our last words to each other were ones that should be said always, “I Love You.”
Dawn, you will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
