Gerald E. Hoehn

Gerald E. Hoehn, 80, of Butler was peacefully taken from this earth on Tuesday at the Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot.

He was born Feb. 26, 1937, in Butler, to the late George E. Hoehn and Augusta L. (Bachman) Hoehn.

Gerald was a member of First English Lutheran Church. He worked as a brick layer in the masonry department at Butler ARMCO for 41 years.

Gerald was a member of the Civil War Roundtable and enjoyed various vehicles, including a 1950 Chevy. He loved his garden and maintaining his home.

He was the beloved husband for 59 years of Nancy J. Hoehn, whom he married Feb. 15, 1958. He also is survived by three sons, James Philip Hoehn of Pittsburgh, John Clark Hoehn and his wife, Lisa of Butler, and Paul Edgar Hoehn and his wife, Dianna of Butler; two daughters, Julia Kay Hoehn of Butler and Cara Ann Lapic and her husband, Daniel, of Freedom; his 10 grandchildren, Stephanie Hoehn, James Hoehn, Erica Hoehn, Emily Veith and her husband, Zachary, Megan Hoehn, Ashley Hoehn, Shayne Hoehn and his wife, Laci, Jenna Hoehn, Joshua Hoehn and Maizie Lapic; four great-grandchildren, Wyatt Veith, Levi Hoehn, Connor Hoehn and Carli Hoehn; one brother, Edward G. Hoehn of Butler; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, William J. Hoehn and Allen L. Hoehn.

HOEHN — Friends of Gerald E. Hoehn, who died Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2017, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Kimberly van Driel of First English Lutheran Church officiating.Burial will take place at Butler County Memorial Park.Online condolences can be given at www.thompson-miller.com.
