SEVEN FIELDS — Vogel Disposal will again provide garbage and recycling services for the borough after it was the only bidder on the 5-year garbage contract.

The current monthly rate for residents is $19.70 per month, said Tom Smith, Seven Fields manager. In the new contract the rate will decrease slightly in 2018 to $19.45 a month.

In 2019 it will go back up to $19.70. The third year of the contract, 2020, it will go up to $20, then $20.30 in 2021 and $20.50 in 2022, the final year of the contract.

The borough unanimously accepted the bid at its meeting Monday.

“I think everyone is very happy with Vogel and their service here in the borough,” said Jen Sikora, borough council president.

Vogel Disposal, based in Mars, also had the last contract for garbage service with the borough.
