JACKSON TWP — Motorists should expect delays next week as Seneca School Road will be restricted to one lane at the bridge over the Little Connoquenessing Creek.

The northbound lane of Seneca School Road will be closed from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 11 and tentatively from 5 p.m. to 6 a.m. Oct. 12 while a beam is erected on the third lane of the bridge.

A single lane flagging operation will move traffic throughout the day. Delays are expected, and drivers are being advised to seek alternate routes during this time.

The schedule may change if there is unfavorable weather or unforeseen activities.

The bridge near the entrance of Seneca Valley's secondary campus is being replaced and widened to three lanes as part of PennDOT's Rapid Bridge Replacement Project.

The project began right after school let out for the summer and is expected to be complete by mid-November, said Jeff Rossi, public information coordinators with Plenary Walsh Keystone Partners.

Rossi said everything has been going well and the project is on schedule.
