CRANBERRY TWP — A familiar face will return to the administrative staff at the township.

Dan Santoro was hired as assistant township manager at the Cranberry supervisors meeting Thursday night. He is replacing Duane McKee, who left in August to take a position with the Butler Area Sewer Authority.

“We're fortunate to have a quality person like this come back with us and his talent will be well received,” said Mike Manipole, township supervisor.

Santoro was the assistant township manager from 1992 to 2007. He left to do consulting work. He's currently the director of engineering firm Herbert Rowland & Grubic's Pittsburgh office.

“I'm really excited to join such a team,” Santoro said.

Santoro will start Oct. 31 at a salary of $123,900.
