Mary P. Boring

A Butler woman, charged with two others for distributing drugs out of a home near the city police station, was sentenced to county prison in Butler County Court on Thursday.

Mary P. Boring, 28, was sentenced to 12 to 36 months in Butler County Prison by Judge Timothy McCune.

She also was ordered to pay $300 in fines and undergo 12 months probation following her prison sentence and parole, submit 50 hours of community service and was made work release eligible, after previously pleading guilty to two felony counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance — heroin and cocaine — and one count of conspiracy on Sept. 6.

Boring was initially charged with three counts of felony possession with intent, one felony count of conspiracy, two misdemeanor counts of possession of a controlled substance, one count of possession of marijuana, and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, after an incident in the 200 block of North Washington Street between April 18 and May 4.

The remaining charges were dismissed as part of the plea.

She was charged along with Thomas L. Tillman, 29, of Philadelphia and Jennifer E. Thomas, 27, of Butler, following an investigation of drug activity at the apartment.

Following a search warrant of the residence, between 230 and 240 bags of suspected heroin, 22 individually packaged rocks of crack, a small amount of marijuana, drug paraphernalia including a scale and 70 to 80 syringes, $187 in currency, and two cell phones were found, police said,

Authorities suspect Tillman and Thomas were dealing drugs out of one of three apartments at the two-story house. Boring, whose boyfriend is the sole tenant, is accused of allowing them to deal there.

Boring was held in the Butler County Prison on $100,000 bail.

Tillman continues to be held on $150,000, and Thomas on $100,000, pending further court proceedings.
