BUTLER TWP — State Rep. Brian Ellis, R-11th, is inviting area veterans to attend assistance hours at his district office in Lyndora one day next month.

The office will host the outreach event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 13 at 6 Chesapeake St., Suite 200.

Stephanie Bengoa, department service officer with the American Legion, will be available to assist veterans and their families with compensation, pension, death benefits, education, health care issues and more.

Veterans do not have to be a member of the American Legion to receive these services, and can schedule an appointment by calling Ellis’ district office at 724-283-5852.
