A Butler man is accused of threatening to kill his sister and a neighbor in separate incidents less than 90 minutes apart.

Kenneth E. Snyder Jr., 33, is being held in the Butler County Prison on $60,000 bail. He is charged with two counts of terroristic threats and violating his sister's protection from abuse order.

Michele Snyder about 1:40 p.m. Sept. 20 reported to Butler police that family members had advised her that her brother was “telling them that he was going to kill (her) and her son's father,” according to court documents.

Michele, who said she was in fear of her life and her son's life, has had a PFA against the defendant since November 2016.

Just after 3 p.m. that same day, police were called to the defendant's neighborhood on the 400 block of Maryland Avenue. A neighbor, Roxie Gamble, reported that she had a run in with Snyder.

She recounted that as she was pulling into her driveway, a dog ran in front of her car, police said. She got out of the vehicle to make sure the dog was safe.

Snyder, who lives nearby, came over to Gamble's home and yelled obscenities at her.

He also told her that he was going to “shoot the dog” and “slit the dog's throat,” according to a police affidavit. Additionally, he threatened to shoot Gamble in the head.

Snyder's preliminary hearing in both cases is set for Oct. 2.
