Crash victim dies
JEFFERSON TWP — A passenger in one of the cars involved in a crash Friday morning died later that day in the hospital, police said.
Marjorie Lee Langston, 87, of Cabot succumbed to her injuries sustained in a crash at around 11:55 a.m. at the intersection of North Pike and Bonniebrook roads, according to a state police news release.
The accident, described by the fire department as involving two cars, happened when one car was attempting to make a left turn from Bonniebrook Road onto North Pike Road to travel southbound, according to police.
A second car, driving northbound on North Pike Road, struck the car head-on.
Two injuries were reported at the scene.
Langston, who was a passenger in the car that was attempting to turn, was flown by medical helicopter to Allegheny General Hospital where she later died, police said.
Langston was formerly a manager for Butler County Mushroom Farm and was a longtime ceramics instructor, according to her obituary posted online by the Fox Funeral Home in Saxonburg.
The names of the drivers and other information about the state police investigation were not available at press time.
