JEFFERSON TWP — Two injuries were reported in a crash at the intersection of Route 356 and Bonniebrook Road Friday afternoon.

The crash occurred shortly before noon and involved two “passenger cars,” according to Saxonburg Volunteer Fire Department Capt. Mike Krchelich.

Krchelich said two injuries were reported in the crash.

A medical helicopter was called to the scene and one injured person was flown, with another taken in a ground transport ambulance. No information on injuries was available.

Emergency responders had the road blocked off and were diverting traffic around the area
