Tom Panei will perform Wednesday as part of the lunchtime concert series at the Butler County Symphony office.

Black Diamond, featuring Butler County native Artie Black, will perform at 7 p.m. Sept. 8 at Butler Little Theatre, One Howard St. Tickets are $10 at the door or at bltgroup.org. The jazz quartet includes Black and Hunter Diamond playing saxophone, Neil Hemphill on drums and Katie Ernst on bass. A graduate of Knoch High School, Black is a saxophonist, composer and educator based in Chicago.

Butler County Recital Series will have its inaugural concert at 7 p.m. Sept. 16 at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 230 E. Jefferson St. The 2017-18 season will consist of two concerts, both of which will feature violinist Tanya Satteson, concertmistress of the Butler County Symphony Orchestra, and pianist Nancy DeSalvo. Music in the Courtyard series is scheduled to host Tony and Friends of God, Christian music, at 2 p.m. Sept. 17 at the Butler Public Library, 218 N. McKean St. Call 724-287-1715.

The lunchtime concert series hosted by the Butler County Symphony Association features Tom Panei, singer/songwriter, at noon Wednesday at the symphony office, 259 S. Main St. Admission is free. The concerts also are broadcast in Diamond Park. Visit www.butlersymphony.org or call 724-283-1402.

James A. Ayres Amphitheater in Zelienople Community Park will be the site of Getting Dizzy in Zelie featuring Dizzy Woosh at 7 p.m. Sept. 9.

Hartwood Acres' outdoor amphitheater off Middle Road in Hampton Township hosts the 18th annual Allegheny County Music Festival featuring Rusted Root with guests The Velcro Shoes, The Buckledowns and Andre Costello & The Cool Minors at 5 p.m. Sunday.
