Morabito 70th anniversary
Vito and Billie Morabito of Penn Township celebrated 70 years of marriage with a card shower organized by their children.
Morabito married the former Billie Jewell on July 14, 1947, at St. Conrad Roman Catholic Parish in Meridian.
They have three children, Joanne (Patrick) Morabito-Miller of Butler, Keefe (Mona) Morabito of Cape Coral, Fla., and Tim Morabito of Kittanning.
They also have five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.
Morabito retired from the plant production department of Armco Steel Corporation.
He is a member of the VFW and American Legion Post 778. He is a World War II veteran with 50 missions on B-24 aircraft.
Mrs. Morabito retired from the food service department of South Butler School District.
She is a member of the Tanglewood Senior Center Plus 60 Club.
The Morabitos are members of Nixon United Methodist Church in Penn Township.
