The Butler YMCA will have an outdoor movie night at 8:30 p.m. Friday at the South Hills Playground, E. Christie Ave.

The movie, “Monsters, Inc.,” is G rated and will be for ages three and older.

Take family, friends, a chair and a snack. The Butler YMCA Summer Food Program also will provide a snack and beverage.

The event is free.

BUTLER TWP — The Butler County Parks and Recreation Department will host a Moonlight Swim and Dive-In Movie from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m. Friday at Alameda Waterpark, 184 Alameda Park Road.

The event will include a showing of “Pete’s Dragon.” There will be a fee for nonmembers.

[naviga:h3]World War II aircraft will visit Butler[/naviga:h3]

The Wings of Freedom Tour, featuring a B-17 Flying Fortress, a B-24 Liberator, a B-25 Mitchell and a P-51 Mustang, will fly into the Pittsburgh-Butler Regional Airport Aug. 16 to 18.

The tour’s airplanes arrive at 2 p.m. Aug. 16 and will be on display until the aircraft depart Aug. 18.

Ground tours will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Aug. 16, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 17 and 9 a.m. to noon Aug. 18. Thirty-minute flights will be offered for visitors.
