Slippery Rock University secured funds to combat underage drinking.

SRU was awarded the $50,000 Reducing Underage and Dangerous Drinking grant from the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board. This grant was given for 2026-28, the second cycle in a row the university received funding.

The grant will be used to fund overtime for university police, as well as wellness programs such as peer education programs and professional development for university wellness staff, according to the university.
