SUV damages steps, porch

BUTLER TWP — A one-vehicle accident late Friday resulted in a damaged porch and front steps at 157 Whitestown Road, according to Butler Township Police.
A man was driving a red Chevrolet Equinox around the bend of a rain-slicked road and reportedly hydroplaned before hitting the front steps and porch — severely damaging both — before rolling over.
The driver, whose name was not available, was not injured.
William Silvio, who lives at the residence, said he heard what he thought was lightning striking his front porch.
He went outside to find the damage. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
Township police, Butler Ambulance Service and Butler Township Fire District 3 responded.
