Lane restrictions are scheduled to begin tomorrow night in both directions on Route 19 between Freeport Road and Perry Way in Cranberry and Jackson townships.

The restrictions begin at 9 p.m., on Route 19 North, just south of Ehrman Road, and will continue nightly until the work is completed.

The contractor will scrape and repave road sections from the centerline to the outside shoulder area, closing one lane for about three miles each night.

Congestion and delays are possible during high volume traffic times, and motorists should be prepared to stop and allow extra time for morning and evening commutes.

This $729,599 road project is being done by Lindy Paving and is expected to be completed by the end of August.

Fines will also be doubled for moving violations in highway work zones.
