The United Way of Butler County will donate hot water tanks, furnaces and dehumidifiers to victims affected by the flooding on the west side of Butler earlier this month.

The United Way will give away 22 hot water tanks, 22 furnaces and six dehumidifiers as part of its Butler Emergency Relief Initiative (BERI).

The United Way said in a news release that these donations are “due to the wonderful generosity of the community thus far.”

BERI will work with Center for Community Resources to ensure that the hot water tanks and furnaces are installed, as well as to meet other needs of flood victims.

Anyone who would like to donate to BERI can send checks payable to BERI and mailed to 407A W. Jefferson St., Butler, PA 16001. Checks should note that the gift is for flood relief efforts.
