A man was injured about 10:30 a.m. Tuesday when he fell from the bucket of an excavator while working on some trees at the Strawberry Ridge Golf Course on McNulty Lane.

Emergency responders said the man sustained traumatic injuries.

His identity and condition were not immediately available.

He was taken to the hospital by medical helicopter. Emergency responders airlifted him from the site.
