Lucas 100th birthday
Stella Lucas of Saxonburg, formerly of Butler, will celebrate her 100th birthday with a party at 1 p.m. Aug. 3 at Saxony Health Center, 223 Pittsburgh St., Saxonburg.
The former Stella Mary Geibel was born Aug. 3, 1917, at home in Oakland Township. She married the late Charles Albert Lucas on Oct. 17, 1946, at St. Wendelin Roman Catholic Church in Carbon Center.
She has three children, Ronald (Pamela) Lucas of Butler, Marylee (Raymond) Baptiste of Largo, Fla., and Eleanor (Leonard) Baptiste of Elizabethtown, N.C.
She also has eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one step-great-granddaughter.
Mrs. Lucas did house cleaning, participated in farm life and worked at Castle Rubber.
She is a member of St. Wendelin Roman Catholic Church. She is a member of Legion of Mary and Christian Mothers.
