Glenn B. Miller

Glenn B. Miller, 86, of Cabot, formerly of West Sunbury, passed away Friday at the Good Samaritan Hospice.

He was born May 22, 1930, in Karns City, to the late Clifford H. Miller and the late Freda Byers Miller.

Glenn was a mill worker for Magnetics, retiring April 30, 1993, after 38 years of service. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during the Korean War.

Glenn was a member of the Community Alliance Church, where he served as a board secretary and trustee. He enjoyed gardening, hunting and spending time with his family.

Glenn and his wife, Helen, had just celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary Jan. 12, 2017.

He is survived by his loving wife, Helen, whom he married Jan. 12, 1952; three daughters, Janet (Jeff) Huff of Beaver Falls, Kerry (Rich) McKinnis of West Sunbury and Darla (Dennis) Achezinski of Butler; one son, Keith (Joloyn) Miller of West Sunbury; 11 grandchildren, Kristi (Michael) Leiper, Glenn (Erica) Huff, Ryan (Heather) McKinnis, Christina (Corey) Shemelya, Kevin (Amy) McKinnis, Justin Achezinski, Nathan (Angela) Achezinski, Aaron Achezinski, Sarah Miller, Zachary Miller and Carter Miller; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Ruth Charlene Rummel of Harrisville; and a number of nieces and nephews.

MILLER — Friends of Glenn B. Miller, who died Friday, March 24, 2017, will be received 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.Additional visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Community Alliance Church, 800 Mercer Road, Butler.Funeral Services will immediately follow at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Dr. Dennis L. Krajacic officiating.Officers and members of the American Legion Post 117 Butler, American Legion Post 778 Lyndora and VFW Post 249 Butler, will conduct military honors following the service. Private burial will take place at the Concord Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Community Alliance Church Missions Fund, 800 Mercer Rd., Butler, PA 16001.Online condolences can be given at www.thompson-miller.com.
